Radius Potter rest home in Whangarei is situated in the heart of Whangarei city in beautiful park like surroundings.
A beautifully restored villa, Radius Potter Home provides rest home and private hospital care with palliative, respite and young disabled care while also offering a social and stimulating home with great food, activities and staff.
Our experienced friendly staff have been trained to provide expert care for a range of young and older residents. Physiotherapists, podiatry specialists, hairdressers and other professionals are regular visitors to Radius Potter Home.
A dedicated Radius Activities Co-ordinator works with residents to ensure stimulating hobbies and personal interests are maintained and fulfilled. Regular outings, shopping trips and excursions are designed to keep life busy and interesting.
Radius Potter Home received a 4-year certification at their last audit by the Ministry of Health. This included the first C.I. (Continuous Improvement) ever given by the Ministry to a rest home in New Zealand for Potter Home’s outstanding service to its residents.
Matching Ministry of Health regulations
Radius Care works hard to hold the highest standard in aged care services. All our care homes are audited in-line with the Ministry of Health regulations to ensure compliance with the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001. "The patience, kindness and dedication to the needs of Mum, and all the residents is outstanding. From the nursing staff, the caregivers and the cleaners, you are greeted with a happy smile and they are all ready to talk, answer questions and assist in any way."
Meet our Manager
Gail Kopa
Over the last twelve years of management, I aim to create positivity wherever I work. I look after and value my staff and believe in taking a holistic approach to residents and staff. Before joining Radius Potter Home, I managed care homes in Auckland and Bay of Islands, including Radius Baycare, Radius Waipuna, and Oceania Elmwood Village.
In my spare time, I love to sit by the beach, read and enjoy listening to music, especially from the 70s and occasionally sing karaoke. A fun fact about myself is that I can proudly call myself a North Islander and a South Islander since I was born in Christchurch and moved to the North with my parents when I was 12.
