Meet our Manager

Gail Kopa

My name is Gail Kopa, and I am the Facility Manager of Radius Potter Home. I began my career in nursing as a mature student in Whangarei, and it was a lifelong dream come true to finally become a nurse at the age of 42. I am a proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, whom I adore. Aged care is my passion, and I have worked in the industry for over 12 years now. I believe care is all about people, and I aim to create quality in residents’ lives, as well as a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued.

Over the last twelve years of management, I aim to create positivity wherever I work. I look after and value my staff and believe in taking a holistic approach to residents and staff. Before joining Radius Potter Home, I managed care homes in Auckland and Bay of Islands, including Radius Baycare, Radius Waipuna, and Oceania Elmwood Village.

In my spare time, I love to sit by the beach, read and enjoy listening to music, especially from the 70s and occasionally sing karaoke. A fun fact about myself is that I can proudly call myself a North Islander and a South Islander since I was born in Christchurch and moved to the North with my parents when I was 12.
