Radius Baycare is located in a tranquil, rural park setting at Haruru Falls, just a few minutes’ drive from Paihia in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
At Radius Baycare, rest home, private hospital, palliative, and young disabled care are offered by our caring staff, who provide a lively social atmosphere where family and friends are welcome to visit at any time. Lounges and other communal spaces are designed to create cosy places to relax, socialise, and gather to celebrate achievements and milestones. Bedrooms are light and bright, looking out over the extensive park-like grounds and gardens, and we encourage our residents to personalise their rooms with their favourite possessions—making our home, their home.
Each week our dedicated activities coordinator creates a new roster of fun, stimulating activities, and our team prides themselves on ensuring our residents have every opportunity to continue their individual hobbies and interests. Golf championships, baking, outings, and our annual “Grand Day” when we host residents’ grandchildren, are just a few of the variety of events on offer. Radius Baycare integrates the best of home living and ongoing hospital care, catering for older adults, as well as younger people requiring special care.

Jenny Roberts joined the Radius Baycare team as the new Facility Manager in November 2022. She has over ten years of experience in aged care, from caregiving to nursing and management. Jenny is excited to lead the Baycare team and provide quality care in a safe and homely environment for residents and their families.
She thinks it’s a privilege to be part of the residents’ lives, and seeing a smile on their faces is her definition of success. Baycare has a unique feeling of warmth and generosity, embracing you the moment you walk through the door. This vibe continues throughout the facility and is maintained by all who join the team. Since starting, Jenny has onboarded several new staff, ensuring that the quality of care and individual respect is always at the forefront of their applications.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys her new life in the Bay of Islands, spending her days fishing and boating with her husband and dog or riding her motorcycle around the coastlines.
