Radius St Joans is located in the Hamilton residential suburb of Fairfield, just 5 minutes’ walk from town.
Set on three-and-a-half acres of tranquil, park-like grounds, St Joans integrates rest home and private hospital care with palliative, respite, and some young disabled care. The beautiful gardens that surround our facility provide a variety of places to sit in the sun and relax with a cuppa. During the summer months our residents enjoy strolling around the grounds, listening to the distinctive calls of the native tuis.
We offer a variety of bedroom sizes, and all are temperature-controlled. Beyond the bedrooms, the interior of our facility is designed to make the most of the sunshine, and has been decorated to create a warm, comfortable ambiance. From furniture to the occasional pet, we understand that familiar things are comforting, and we encourage our residents to bring along beloved items to make their room feel like home. Our 24-hour visiting policy enables family and friends to spend as much time with loved ones as possible, ensuring they remain an integral part of their loved one’s life.

I have just spent a few weeks respite care while recovering in this resthome. It was wonderful, and the care we all received was extraordinary. The residents were all absolutely wonderful and won my heart. The staff were exceptional too. I shall never forget this adventure, and when and if I should need to go into care myself, I hope I can go to this care facility. In the meantime, I would like to be able to offer my service and utilize my talents for the residents.
