Description
Radius Kensington is a light, airy facility that integrates rest home, hospital, dementia, young disabled, palliative and respite care. Single-storeyed with a family-friendly atmosphere, wide hallways open into lounges that provide a comfortable place for residents to enjoy. Our rooms are bright and spacious, and a number have their own ensuites with showers; some bedrooms open straight out to one of our five internal courtyards, which feature raised garden beds and sheltered places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Visiting hours ensure family and friends can spend as much time with loved ones as possible, and remain an integral part of their life. Our residents are treated as part of our family; it’s important to us that all residents feel at home at Radius Kensington, and feel safe, respected and valued.
We have a dedicated activities coordinator. All our residents thoroughly enjoy planned excursions such as picnics, fish ‘n chips on the beach, and outings in our facility van, we also have the opportunity to visit other Radius sites in Hamilton Glaisdale and St Joan’s and share activities to meet resident’s social needs.

Nelson Joy
facility manager
I joined Radius Care in 2020, first as a Clinical Nurse Manager and now as a Facility Manager.
I am a qualified international nurse from the southern part of India (Kerala). After earning my NZ Nursing registration in 2010, I entered the aged care world to explore my passion for looking after the elderly.
Within the aged care sector, you can make a huge difference; you can improve their quality of life, help them enjoy their days, and spread some happiness, which is priceless. Getting up to work is much easier when you know that what you do positively impacts the community.
Outside of the office, I love gardening and playing cricket and volleyball. I am an avid biker and obsessed with my Royal Enfield motorcycle.
