Radius Waipuna is a restful haven, conveniently located just minutes from the motorway and a number of popular shopping centres, including Sylvia Park, one of the largest retail centres in the country.

Our care home has plenty of natural lighting, along with spacious living areas for friends and family to gather. The landscaped grounds feature pathways through the gardens and outdoor seating areas, and we have a central courtyard playground area to entertain children visiting the care home.

Our home is your home: our caring, qualified staff provide a social and stimulating home-like environment. A new activities roster is created each week by our dedicated activities coordinator, encouraging residents to keep busy, and to continue exploring their individual passions and interests such as flower arranging, arts and crafts, and even hosting a morning market and art fair.

We have regular visits from local early learning centres, and the care home is often abuzz with visiting entertainers, families and friends. We take pride in being part of the wonderful, caring Mt Wellington community, and our residents regularly hold fund-raising events and donate the proceeds to worthy causes.

Meet our Manager

Jayson Edang

I've been in aged care for over a decade. A significant part of that time has been spent providing hands-on care as both a caregiver and a registered nurse. Those years of working closely with our residents and their whānau have taught me that, as people in caring professions, we need more than knowledge and highly competent clinical skills. We also need the right attitude- one that allows us to make a genuine difference and create positive, lasting memories for the people entrusted to our care.

My wife is a kindy teacher, and together we are fortunate to work at both spectrum of life's journey. The lessons we've learned through our roles have shaped not only the way we raise our two boys, but also how we see people. We see them with patience, compassion, and respect. I believe those same values are incorporated in the team we have at Radius Waipuna, where I've had the privilege to lead. Despite our different backgrounds and life experiences, we share a common goal: to care for our residents as we would our own family.

Throughout my years with Radius Care, I've embraced the company's drive for "exceptionalism". To me, it means never settling for "good enough." It challenges us to keep improving, to support one another, and to provide care that goes beyond expectations. At Waipuna, we've worked hard to build a culture where compassion, kindness, respect, and exceptional care are part of our everyday practice, creating a community that truly feels like home.

In the end, I don't believe it's the number of years we've worked or the qualifications we've earned that people remember most. It's how we've made them feel, the relationships we've built, and the difference we've made in their lives.
