Radius St Helenas is centrally-located, right on the edge of the Christchurch CBD, close to main arterial routes. Our rest home and hospital care facility provide ‘round-the-clock care for those who can no longer manage entirely on their own.
Our care home is single-storeyed and has been designed to be easily accessible. All rest home bedrooms have full ensuites for comfort and privacy, allowing our residents to be as independent as possible. We have two lovely outdoor courtyards with surrounding gardens, which provide sheltered areas to enjoy the fresh air. In the summer months, these are the favourite places for our residents to have a BBQ, or to do a spot of gardening in the raised garden beds.
Our activities coordinator schedules new activities and outings every week, ensuring our residents can continue to enjoy their passions and interests. We have an extensive programme of social activities, including live music, arts and crafts, quiz nights, and themed functions, such as our Cultural Day, to keep you motivated and entertained.

Care at St Helenas
There are many different types of care designed to meet individual needs. At Radius Care we cover a range of accommodation and care options, from respite, to rest home, dementia and palliative care. These broad offerings allow for ‘ageing in place’, so if any of our residents’ needs change they are often able to stay with us.

Meet our Manager
Ana Bastias
After expanding my family, I returned to work as an Office… Manager and now serve as the Facility Manager. Both roles have allowed me to interact with families and staff, address various subjects, and help our residents in many different ways. These opportunities provided me with a deeper understanding of how St Helenas operates, and I cherish every moment.
Before moving to New Zealand in 2016, I worked in retail and international business for many years and learned to read, write, and speak English at an early age. Although I have not yet completed my studies in Law, Social Communication, and Management, I plan to finish them when my children are older.
As someone passionate about caring for others, I am proud to be part of the St Helenas family. We offer a loving and caring environment that supports and cares for our residents every step of the way. Come and experience the warm and friendly atmosphere that we provide.
